Dr. Ryan Loss
Licensed Clinical Psychologist
I am a licensed clinical psychologist who has spent over 20 years in behavioral health supporting students and families in and out of schools to address the impact that social, emotional, and learning based challenges can have on their academics.
I founded Global Student Wellness Solutions with the goal of extending his behavioral health reach to families across the world who are in need of guidance and support when examining educational options for their child/adolescent.
Many families are not certain if their child/adolescent is ready to leave home to attend school. Additionally, many families also need support in understanding the specific learning needs and emotional health needs of their child/adolescent, and whether a particular school can support those needs. I can provide this guidance and also continue to support both the parents and the student when they are away from home.
I received his Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from Texas A&M University where my clinical and research work focused on treating childhood behavior problems and parent therapy techniques. I completed my clinical internship at Franciscan Hospital for Children where my clinical work focused on the assessment and treatment of children and adolescents with significant behavioral and emotional difficulties in both residential and outpatient settings.
I then completed my Residency year with Connecticut Behavioral Health, LLC, expanding my clinical practice to school consultation and programming. I spend a considerable amount of time consulting with school districts, working with them on increasing accessibility to behavioral health services and enhancing their services for students with emotional, behavioral, and learning challenges.
